POEM | In The Shadows of My Desolate Heart

In the shadows of my desolate heart,

I strive to unveil a secret charm,

Oh, dearest one, spare my heart from shattering,

For I am entwined in an amorous spell.

Eternal melancholy veils my soul,

A plea for reverence, whispered in the dark,

Should I falter, would you embrace me tenderly?

Let passion be our anthem, not the drums of war.

In the tranquil abode of our intertwined souls,

Love shall reign, and our hearts find serenity,

I am captivated by your essence,

A love profound, eternally tinged with azure.

What doctrine or rationale drives a man,

To forsake the sacred bond of lovers?

Soul, I hear your mournful cry,

Grant me, dear one, a modicum of devotion.

In the realm of love, I am a prisoner,

Forever marked by the hues of solitude,

Yet, you offer no justification,

Only the remains of toil and strife.

Your entreaties linger in the air,

Oh, beloved, extend a tender regard to me,

In the somber echoes of affection's call,

Grant, sweet one, a little reverence to me.
