POEM | Beneath The Sun Setting in the Sky

Beneath the sun setting in the sky ablaze in your gaze,

You peer into my soul, igniting flames ablaze.

Buried deep within, like secrets untold,

You uncovered the light my eyes couldn't hold.

In moments choked with silence, words astray,

Each farewell, a poignant ache, a love's decay.

As the sun descends, the song’s refrain retreats,

Our memory lingers in the dusk's soft beats.

Lovers entwined in the nocturnal embrace,

Striving to capture the words to grace.

In rhyme, we falter, yet fiercely aspire,

A verse of love, our shared, elusive lyre.

A journey traced in shadows, eternally bound,

The echoes of "goodbye" forever resound.

When twilight claims the stage, and music's sway,

I'll forever recall us in this tender array.

Oh, to be more than a fading reverie,

In the haunting notes of our shared history.

Calling out to the night's silent plea,

I'll forever hold onto us, you and me.

When words elude, and emotions surge,

Parting stings, an eternal dirge.

As the sun bows low, the orchestra's hush,

Our symphony persists, a lingering rush.

Always etched in the tapestry of our shared play,

I'll remember, in every dusk, our love's array.

When your gaze transfixes, and worlds decay,

This, my love, is how I'll always remember us, today.
